Postgraduate Symposium 2006
This inaugural Northern Rivers University Department of Rural Health – University of Sydney postgraduate symposium was conducted in Byron Bay from 7-8 December 2006. More than 30 students from Australia attended, presenting their research work and sharing ideas and thoughts with fellow students working in similar fields. The symposium had a particular emphasis on spatial analysis although various other topics were also represented. The workshops provide students with useful tools to tackle their studies including: how to write your thesis, undertaking a literature review and a section on Bayesian statistical analysis by the keynote speaker, Professor Kerrie Mengersen from the Queensland University of Technology
